FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's basketball team outscored North Dakota, 24-12, in the fourth quarter to secure the 81-64 win on senior day on Saturday afternoon at Scheels Center.

Heaven Hamling posted her first career double-double with a team-high 21 points and game-best 10 rebounds over 40 minutes of action. Reneya Hopkins registered her fifth straight double-digit scoring performance with a career-high 20 points and tied a career-best seven rebounds. Abby Schulte also netted a career-high 18 points and hauled in a career-best seven rebounds.

NDSU (11-17, 7-11 Summit) shot 46.3 percent (25-54) from the field and 87.9 percent (29-33) from the free throw line. The Bison also scored 42 points in the paint and 13 second chance points. It marked the fourth time this season NDSU has netted 80 or more points.

After a tight first three quarters in which neither team led by more than seven, UND (15-14, 9-9 Summit) opened the final frame pulling within one, 59-58, with 8:28 to play. The Bison then answered with a momentum-swinging 8-0 run to build a 67-58 edge following a layup from Hamling at the 4:48 mark. NDSU didn't look back from there and went on to secure its seventh straight victory over the Fighting Hawks, 81-64.

The Summit League Women's Basketball Championship is set for March 5-8 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The top eight teams in the final regular season standings will earn a trip to the quarterfinal round of the Summit League Championship.
