FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach Jory Collins has announced the addition of Emily Dietz to the Bison staff as a graduate student manager.
In her role, Dietz will assist with the day-to-day operations of NDSU women's basketball, film breakdown, analytics and community service activities.
"Getting to keep Emily in our program another two years was a no brainer for me," said Collins. "We're very excited to add her to our staff as a graduate student manager. Her experience in our program and her loyalty to NDSU and Fargo make her a tremendous addition to our team. I know it will put a smile on my face to continue to see her daily and get to work with her in a different setting."
Dietz played at NDSU for five seasons from 2017-22 and is the all-time leader in games played with 131, including a streak of 114 consecutive games to conclude her career. The West Fargo, N.D. native finished her career ranked fifth on the NDSU all-time field goal percentage list shooting 51.2 percent and was only the ninth player in the NDSU Division I era to surpass 1,000 career points with 1,142.
"I feel extremely honored and blessed to continue to be a part of NDSU women's basketball," said Dietz. "My investment in this basketball program isn't finished yet and I cannot thank Jory and this staff enough for allowing me to step into this new role. I'm beyond excited for the opportunity to learn from the best and continue to share my love for the Bison with those around me."
