The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team will travel to play South Dakota on Thursday, Feb. 2, and South Dakota State on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Series vs. South Dakota: Thursday will be the 187th meeting all-time between NDSU and South Dakota, with the Bison leading the series 104-82. In the Division I era, NDSU owns a 19-6 record against the Coyotes. The Bison won both meetings with South Dakota last season, and prevailed 73-61 in Fargo on Jan. 7 of this season.
         NDSU has won five of the last seven games in Vermillion.

The Series vs. South Dakota State: Saturday will be the 233rd meeting all-time between North Dakota State and South Dakota State, with the Bison leading the series 120-112. The Jackrabbits won all three meetings last season, including the championship game of the Summit League Tournament, but NDSU won 65-59 in Fargo on Jan. 5 of this season.
         NDSU's last win in Brookings came on Dec. 28, 2016, when the Bison won 80-69 in the Summit League opener for the 2016-17 season.

Grant Nelson (56.4%), and

35-Plus: After scoring a career-high 36 points in NDSU's win over North Dakota on Jan. 27,
Grant Nelson is the first Bison since 2010 with multiple career games of 35-plus points.

30-Plus: Grant Nelson is only the second Bison since 2010 to post three 30-point games in a season. Taylor Braun had four 30-point games for NDSU in the 2013-14 season.

Among The Best: In Summit League play,
Grant Nelson is averaging 19.8 points, a league-leading 8.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. He is shooting 56 percent overall in conference games. Nelson is the only player in The Summit League this season to rank top-five in scoring and field goal percentage.

New High for Morgan: Sophomore forward
Andrew Morgan scored a career-high 29 points vs. Kansas City on Jan. 21.

Boden's Buckets: Boden Skunberg erupted for a career-high 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc in NDSU's 78-65 road win over Omaha on Jan. 14. Skunberg drained a career-best seven three-pointers, including an electric stretch of three treys in 1 minute, 40 seconds, to take control of the game in the second half.

Upcoming Milestone: NDSU head coach David Richman needs one more victory to tie for second on the all-time wins list at North Dakota State. Now in his ninth season, Richman has compiled 168 wins. B.C. Bentson currently stands second on the list with a career mark of 169-207. Erv Inniger is the all-time winningest coach at NDSU with a mark of 244-150.

Developing Defense: In the three games that sparked NDSU's recent five-game winning streak, NDSU limited North Dakota, South Dakota State, and South Dakota to 49, 59, and 61 points, respectively. Those are the three lowest point totals allowed by the Bison against Division I opponents this season.

Late Runs: The Bison used significant second-half runs to pull out victories over South Dakota State and South Dakota in Fargo. Trailing 48-41 with just under 10 minutes remaining vs. SDSU on Jan. 5, the Bison went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to pull ahead. On Jan. 7, South Dakota led 59-58 with five minutes left, but NDSU scored 12 unanswered points over the next four minutes to earn the win.
