BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's basketball team dropped a 94-63 decision at South Dakota State on Thursday night at Frost Arena.
Abby Graham paced the Bison (9-5, 3-1 Summit) with a season-high 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field.
Taylor Brown filled up her stat line with eight points, a team-high seven rebounds and four assists.
Emily Behnke also contributed nine points with five rebounds and one block.
As a team, NDSU shot 39.1 percent (25-64) from the field and 27.8 percent (5-18) from three. NDSU also scored 40 points in the paint and the bench contributed 24 points.
The Jackrabbits (12-5, 5-0 Summit) started off fast opening up a 23-3 edge after a three from Haleigh Timmer at the 5:16 mark of the first quarter. SDSU, who entered the week ranked No. 4 in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, continued to surge pushing its lead up to 35-9 after the opening frame. The Bison weren't able to slow the Jackrabbits the rest of the way and went on to fall 94-63.
NDSU will be back in action at South Dakota on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
