10/13/2023 6:18:00 PM

PEORIA, Ill. – The North Dakota State University women's cross country team won the team championship at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon, edging conference rival South Dakota by one point.

The Bison posted a team score of 126 points, just ahead of South Dakota's 127. The meet featured 32 Division I schools competing in the women's race.

Junior Reagan Baesler led the Bison women, taking eighth place overall in 21:11.6 for the six-kilometer race. NDSU was powered by three finishers in the top 20, with junior Grace Link placing 16th in 21:29.1, and freshman Logan Harz 18th in 21:30.7.

Aleah Miller (44th place in 22:01.3) and Hope Pringle (49th place in 22:04.1) completed the team scoring to clinch the title for NDSU.

Baesler's time was good enough to enter NDSU's all-time Top 25 list for the cross country 6k.

The Bison will race next at the Summit League Championships in Brookings, S.D., on Oct. 28.
