The North Dakota State women's cross country team is ranked a season-best 10th in the Midwest Region in the latest regional rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week. The Bison men's cross country team came in 13th in the same poll.
The Midwest Region includes all Division I schools in a nine-state area comprised of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota.
Both rankings are the highest of the season for the Bison.
The Bison women won the team title at the Bradley Pink Classic last Friday, topping all 32 Division I teams in the meet. The NDSU men earned a seventh-place finish at Bradley, improving on their team score from last year and falling only 27 points shy of third place.
The Bison will compete at the Summit League Championships in Brookings, S.D., on Oct. 28.
