
No. 8 Creighton Beats NDSU Men, 89-60

OMAHA, Neb. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team lost to No. 8 Creighton on Saturday afternoon, 89-60, at CHI Health Center Omaha.
The Bison and Bluejays were tied 18-18 with eight minutes left in the first half. Creighton ended the opening half making eight straight shots, pushing the halftime margin to 10 at 41-31.
Creighton scored the first 16 points of the second half to go up 57-31.
Sophomore Damari Wheeler-Thomas led NDSU with 15 points and three assists. Andrew Morgan added nine points and two steals, and Tajavis Miller scored nine.
Creighton shot 61 percent for the game and hit 12-of-28 (43 percent) from three-point range. The Bison shot 42 percent overall and made 6-of-14 (43 percent) from beyond the arc.
The Bison go on the road next week, playing UC Davis on Tuesday, Nov. 14, and Montana on Thursday, Nov. 16, in Missoula, Mont.
