SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Senior outside hitter
Ali Hinze has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Female Peak Performer of the Month for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Thursday.
Hinze helped the Bison to a 6-2 mark in the month of October after totaling a team-high 114 kills and averaging 3.93 per set. The Maple Grove, Minn., native contributed a team-high 104 digs and averaged 3.59 per set on the defensive side. Hinze also added a team-best eight service aces with 22 total blocks and 12 assists to her stat line.
Hinze, who was named the Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week on Tuesday, logged a double-double in seven of the eight matches in the month of October, including a match-high 17 kills with 10 digs in the 3-1 win over Omaha last Saturday. She has reached double figures in kills in 21 of 23 matches this season.
