Grant Nelson claimed the latest Summit League Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week award, league officials announced Monday. Nelson posted a pair of double-doubles, averaging 23.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in a pair of road games for the Bison as he picked up the first weekly honor of his career.

Nelson opened the week by scoring 22 points, pulling down 14 rebounds and blocking a career-high five shots in a road win at Kansas City. The Devils Lake, N.D., native registered seven offensive rebounds to help post his league-leading eighth double-double of the season.

Nelson recorded his ninth in NDSU's next outing at Oral Roberts, pushing his streak of consecutive games with a double-double to six. He finished with 24 points on 11-of-19 shooting and added a game-high 12 rebounds to go with three steals.

Nelson is now averaging a double-double in league play, scoring 19.8 points per game and leading the league with 10.1 rebounds per game.
