The North Dakota State University cheer team is looking for new members to join for the 2023-24 academic year. Interested cheerleaders should review the tryout information and application instructions available on GoBison.com.

The NDSU cheer team is a coed squad that cheers for home and away football games, home men's and women's basketball games, and postseason away men's and women's basketball games.

Regular practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to stunting and tumbling workouts twice per month. The team also appears at various pep rallies, parades, public relations or charitable events.

The cheer team will have early move-in August 16 for students in campus housing. Fall camp will be August 17, 18, 19 and 21. The first full day of classes at NDSU is August 22.

Jasmine Powell-Calhoun, a former captain and assistant coach with the Bison cheer team, is entering her first season as head coach of the NDSU cheer team.
