SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's basketball team will open the 2023-24 season against Creighton at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Monday, Nov. 6.
"We're excited to begin our season at the Sanford Pentagon," said head coach
Jory Collins. "Creighton is a great program and they will be a fun challenge. I hope we can create an energetic atmosphere to kickoff the season for both teams."
This will mark only the third time NDSU will play at the Sanford Pentagon in program history after the Bison went 1-1 in the 2020-21 Summit League Tournament.
This will be the 12th all-time meeting between NDSU and Creighton dating back to 1981 with the Bluejays leading the series, 10-1. Creighton, who posted a 22-9 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, won the most recent meeting in 2019, 70-59, in Omaha, Neb.
NDSU finished last season winning its most games since 2004-05 with an 18-12 overall record. The Bison went on to make their first appearance in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) in program history.
The full 2023-24 schedule will be announced at a later date.
