Bison Outlast Kansas City in Double OT, 92-91

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The North Dakota State University men's basketball team came out with a 92-91 double-overtime victory over Kansas City on Thursday night at the Swinney Center.
NDSU senior Boden Skunberg finished with 23 points, six rebounds and five assists. Redshirt freshman Noah Feddersen scored a career-high 18 points, and Andrew Morgan added 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
NDSU opened up an 11-point lead in the first half and held a 36-31 advantage at halftime. Kansas City took its first lead at 52-50 with 9:10 remaining in regulation.
The Roos led 70-66 with under two minutes left, but Jacari White drained a clutch three-pointer, Damari Wheeler-Thomas hit a driving layup, and Morgan made a pair of free throws to tie the game.
The game went to overtime tied at 73-73 and proceeded to double overtime at 79-79. The Bison put up 13 points in the final OT period, sparked by back-to-back three-pointers from Feddersen.
After a Kansas City three-point play pulled the Roos within one at 92-91, the Roos missed a three-point attempt with two seconds on the clock to end the game.
NDSU shot 53 percent for the game and connected on 8-of-17 (47 percent) from three-point range. The Bison improved to 8-9 overall and 1-1 in The Summit League.
The Bison will play at Omaha on Saturday at 7 p.m.
