Bison Men Hit Road for Summit League Games at Kansas City, Omaha

The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (7-9 overall, 0-1 Summit) will play a pair of Summit League road games this week. The Bison play at Kansas City on Thursday, Jan. 11, and at Omaha on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Where to Watch: Both games will be available on the Summit League Network through the Midco Sports Plus app.
 
Radio: Sam Neidermann will call both games on 107.9 The Fox. Radio broadcasts can also be streamed on the NDSU Athletics app, as well as at GoBison.com/AllAccess for free all season.
 
Against Kansas City: Thursday will be the 23rd meeting all-time between NDSU and Kansas City. The Bison hold a 14-8 lead in the series. The schools split both meetings last season, with each team winning on the road.
 
Last Time vs. Kansas City: The Bison pulled away in the second half to earn a 69-58 victory at Kansas City on Feb. 16 last season. Grant Nelson led all players with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and a career-high five blocks. Leading 48-43 with eight minutes left, the Bison put together a 9-2 burst over the next two minutes to put the game away. NDSU held the Roos to 30 percent shooting for the game.
 
Against Omaha: Saturday will be the 91st meeting between North Dakota State and Omaha dating back to 1935-36. NDSU has a 57-33 lead in the series, including nine straight victories. The Bison swept both meetings last season, winning 78-65 in Omaha on Jan. 14 and 84-58 in Fargo on Feb. 9.
 
Last Time vs. Omaha: The Bison opened up a 30-point lead in the first half and cruised to an 84-58 win over Omaha in Fargo on Feb. 9 last season. NDSU used a 22-2 run to go ahead 38-11 with just under five minutes left in the first half, then pushed the margin to 30 at 47-17 at halftime. The Bison shot 52 percent overall and limited Omaha to 35-percent shooting.
 
From Downtown: The Bison rank 31st in the nation for three-point shooting at 37.6 percent. NDSU has made 19-for-39 (48.7 percent) from beyond the arc over the past two games.
 
Past Five Games: Over its past five games, NDSU has three players averaging more than 13 points -- Boden Skunberg (14.5 ppg), Andrew Morgan (13.8 ppg), and Tajavis Miller (13.2 ppg). Miller is shooting 58 percent overall and 53 percent from three-point range over that stretch.
 
Balanced Attack: Nine different Bison have scored in double figures this season.
 
Miller Time: Tajavis Miller scored a career-high 23 points at Eastern Washington on Jan. 6.
