Baesler Earns All-Region Honors, Pacing Bison Women at NCAA Midwest Regional

PEORIA, Ill. – Reagan Baesler posted the fifth-best finish ever by a Bison woman at the NCAA Midwest Regional, leading the North Dakota State women's cross country team on Friday morning in Peoria.
Baesler finished in 12th place overall, clocking a personal-best 20:14.9 for the 6k at Newman Golf Course – a time that makes her the fourth-fastest woman on the NDSU all-time cross country list.
Only Erin Teschuk (1st in 2015; 2nd in 2014) and Kelby Anderson (7th in 2019; 9th in 2018) have ever finished higher for NDSU at the D-I regional meet.
Baesler's finish will earn her All-Region honors for the first time in her career.
The Bison women finished 18th as a team out of 36 schools at the meet – the No. 2 school from The Summit League.
Behind Baesler, freshman Jenna DeBates was the No. 2 runner for NDSU with a personal-best time of 21:28.3 to take 97th place. Senior Grace Link placed 104th in 21:34.2, junior Aleah Miller was 130th in 21:56.4, and freshman Reagan Berg completed the scoring in 146th with a time of 22:14.1.
Oklahoma State captured the team title. There were 230 individual finishers, led by champion Leah Jeruto of Oklahoma.
