VERMILLION, S.D. – The North Dakota State men's cross country team earned a runner-up finish at the Summit League Championships on Saturday, with senior
Hunter Klimek pacing the Bison in fourth place overall.

The Bison finished with 57 points in the team standings, behind South Dakota State who claimed the team championship with a total of 25 points. South Dakota (100) was third, North Dakota (101) was fourth, and Oral Roberts (104) took fifth.

Klimek ran 24:29.1 for the 8k to finish fourth. Bison senior
Jake Arason took seventh in 24:47.2, and redshirt freshman
Ethan Moe was 11th in 24:58.6.
Will Gerber clocked 25:07.6 for 17th place, and senior
Tyson Mahar completed the team scoring in 25:10.7 for 19th place.

Regan Bosch finished 21st, and
Jacob Knodle was 22nd for NDSU.

Klimek and Arason earned All-Summit League first team honors as top-seven finishers on Saturday, and Moe claimed second team honors. Klimek's finish ties for the third-best NDSU individual placing at the Summit League meet.

The Bison men have now finished as the runner-up at the conference meet seven times in the past eight years.

NDSU will compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Peoria, Ill., on Nov. 15.
