FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State wrestling fell to No. 7 Missouri32-6 Friday night in Big 12 action at the Scheels Center. The Bison picked up wins from Max Petersen and Spencer Mooberry.
 
Petersen secured the only takedown in the 149-pound match with Joel Mylin, and the redshirt freshman added an escape on his way to a 4-2 decision. Petersen has won eight-straight dual matches, improving to 8-3 in dual competition for the Bison.
 
Mooberry also scored the only takedown in his match at 197 pounds. Mooberry picked up a takedown late in the first period to grab a 3-0 lead. He then recorded an escape and was awarded a stalling penalty point in the second period, as he defeated Jesse Cassatt 5-1.
 
Devon Dawson had the other highlight of the night for the Bison, securing the first takedown given up by #5 Zach Elam all season. Dawson took a 3-0 lead but eventually fell 10-4 to the All-American.
 
Boeden Greenley made his dual debut at the Scheels Center, taking on three-time All-American #13 Brock Mauller. Greenley held Mauller scoreless in the first period before falling 2-0.
 
Ryan Henningson secured a pair of takedowns in his matchup with #8 Noah Surtin, falling by a major decision. Fernando Barreto had an early takedown against Drew Stanfield in a loss by decision.
 
North Dakota State will now hit the road for one final dual on the 2023-24 schedule, traveling south to Brookings to take on South Dakota State. The match up with the Jackrabbits is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 25 inside Frost Arena.
