NDSU Softball Comes Back to Win in Extras at Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – North Dakota State softball rallied to defeat Pacific 2-1 in eight innings Tuesday afternoon at Bill Simoni Field.

Trailing 1-0 in the sixth, Anjolee Aguilar-Beaucage hit her fourth home run of the season, a solo shot over the fence in left center, to tie the game, ultimately forcing extra innings. In the eighth, the Bison would capitalize on two errors to load the bases for Jasmyn Yessian, who drew a two-out walk to score the go-ahead run, as Emilee Buringa came in from third.

Kaitlyn Dunford picked up the win in relief, pitching a perfect three innings with one strikeout. Savy Williams allowed just one run in the first inning on five hits in five innings of work.

Buringa had two of the four Bison hits, and the senior also had a walk in a 2-for-3 afternoon with the winning run. Chloe Woldruff had the other Bison hit alongside Buringa and Aguilar-Beaucage.

The Bison will be back in action on Friday with games against Marist and Saint Mary's at the Saint Mary's Tournament in Moraga, California.
