SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State capped off its season-opening weekend with four student-athletes capturing the TicketSmarter Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Peak Performers of the Week, League officials released Tuesday.
Khamarly Holmes and
Jarod White earned the weekly awards on the men's side, while teammates
Kendra Kelley and
Arienne Birch were honored on the women's.

At the UTSA Invitational, Holmes clocked a 52.98 in his 400m hurdles debut as a Bison. His time earned him second overall in the event. Holmes also was a member of the 4x400m relay squad that took first with a time of 3:18.99.

White matched an outdoor school record in the pole vault at the UTSA Invitational. He captured the event title with a clearance of 17-02.75 (5.25m) to tie the NDSU outdoor record set in 1995 by Ryan McGlynn.

Kelley clocked a record-breaking 23.19 in the 200m to break the NDSU record set in 2014 by Antoinette Goodman. She also won the 100m in a personal-best time of 11.42, making her the second-fastest in school history.

Birch claimed the high jump title clearing a height of 5-08.75 (1.75m). Her winning clearance ranks in the NDSU outdoor top 10.
