Heaven Hamling scored a season-high 25 points to lead the North Dakota State women's basketball team to a 72-60 quarterfinal victory over Denver in the Summit League Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Hamling scored 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting, making 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
Abbie Draper finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bison.

Freshman
Avery Koenen pulled down 10 rebounds for her fifth game this season with double-digit boards.
Abby Schulte recorded five assists and three steals.

The Bison led 39-28 at halftime and scored the first bucket of the second half to go ahead by 13. Denver battled back to pull within four at 53-49 with 2:00 left in the third quarter. NDSU rattled off an 11-0 run to take control, scoring the final seven of the third quarter and the first four points of the fourth to go up 64-49.

NDSU shot 46 percent for the game and limited the Pioneers to 36-percent shooting.

NDSU improved to 20-10 on the season, reaching the 20-win mark for the first time since the 2004-05 season.

The Bison advance to the semifinals to face either No. 3 seed Oral Roberts or No. 6 seed North Dakota on Monday at 3 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
