GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota completed a three-game series sweep of North Dakota State with a 4-0 win on Sunday in the series finale at Apollo Park.
 
The Bison had two errors in the first inning that led to four unearned runs scored for the Fighting Hawks. UND scored the first on a sacrifice fly before a three-run home run. NDSU was then held scoreless for the second-straight game, being held to three hits and two walks.
 
Savy Williams picked up the loss, allowing the four unearned runs in the first. Madison Wihlm tossed the final five innings for the Bison, tossing a career and game high six strikeouts, allowing just two hits. Reanna Rudd led NDSU offensively with a hit and a walk. Emilee Buringa and Star Cortez had the other hits for NDSU, while Bella Dean had the other walk.
 
NDSU will return to action next weekend, wrapping up the home schedule with a three-game series against Kansas City. The Bison and Roos will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon, with the final game Sunday at 11 a.m. at Tharaldson Park.
