FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University's athletic department has entered into a new partnership agreement with Under Armour for the Baltimore-based athletic company to become the official outfitter of the Bison effective July 1, 2025.
As part of the five-year agreement, Under Armour will be NDSU's exclusive official outfitter and supplier of athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories to all Bison teams, coaches and athletic department staff.
"We look forward to this partnership with Under Armour and are excited to work directly with a team that is committed to quality, innovation and service," said NDSU director of athletics Matt Larsen. "They made their desire to partner with the Bison very clear early on and throughout the process. I am most excited for our student-athletes, who will benefit greatly from the selection, quality and amount of product they will be provided moving forward."
North Dakota State consulted with LEONA to fully explore all options and negotiate a contract that provides great value to NDSU. As part of the agreement, NDSU will have a direct relationship with Under Armour for design, ordering and fulfillment, which is expected to improve access to apparel and equipment for the Bison.
"Under Armour is proud to partner with North Dakota State University and the championship pedigree they have established within their athletic program," said Under Armour VP of wholesale and team division Craig Cummings. "Our brand mission is to make athletes better, and we are excited to continue this mission by outfitting and servicing their student-athletes, athletics department staff and passionate fan base with the most innovative product in the market."
NDSU, a leader in collegiate licensing royalties among its peers, has become a nationally recognized brand in college athletics winning nine NCAA FCS football national championships, nine FBS football games, and advancing to five NCAA men's basketball tournaments during its Division I history.
