PEORIA, Ill. – The North Dakota State men's cross country team claimed a runner-up finish at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon at Newman Golf Course.
The Bison finished second out of 23 teams in the meet, posting a score of 109 points. Host Bradley won the men's team title with 78 points.
Senior
Jacob Knodle paced NDSU, taking 10th place overall in a personal-best 24:20.6 for the eight-kilometer race. Sophomore
Ethan Moe finished 16th with a time of 24:31.7.
Sophomore
Ivan Askim took 26th in 24:42.9, junior
Will Gerber was 33rd in 24:46.9, and sophomore
Carl Rekow was NDSU's No. 5 finisher to complete the team scoring in 36th place with a time of 24:47.7.
Including
Quinn Roehl (65th) and
Evan Liewer (75th), six of NDSU's top seven runners posted personal-best times for the 8k on Friday.
The Bison will compete at the Summit League Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Ashland, Neb.
