PEORIA, Ill. – Senior
Reagan Baesler captured the individual title at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon, leading the North Dakota State women's cross country team to a runner-up team finish.
The Bison took second place out of 24 teams in the meet, scoring 121 points. Host Bradley won the women's team crown with 32 points.
Baesler claimed first place overall with a time of 20:21.0 – the eighth-fastest 6k in school history, and the second-fastest of her career.
Four Bison women finished in the top 25 out of 200-plus runners in the meet. Sophomore
Logan Harz took 13th place with a time of 20:59.4, sophomore
Mia Hoffmann was 20th in 21:07.9, and sophomore
Jenna DeBates placed 22nd in 21:10.6.
Freshman
Kylie Nelson completed the team scoring as NDSU's No. 5 finisher, taking 76th overall in 21:57.4. Harz, Hoffmann, DeBates and Nelson all registered personal-best times, along with freshman
Alyson Kleyman.
Harz became just the seventh woman in NDSU's Division I history to go sub-21 minutes in the cross country 6k.
The Bison will compete at the Summit League Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Ashland, Neb.
