Big Second Half Carries Bison to 90-68 Victory over CSUN

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team scored 60 points in the second half to pull away for a 90-68 win over CSUN on Tuesday evening inside the Scheels Center.
CSUN (2-2 overall) led 33-30 at halftime, but the Bison outscored the Matadors 60-35 over the final 20 minutes to earn a decisive victory.
Junior Damari Wheeler-Thomas led NDSU with 22 points and four three-pointers. Sophomore Andy Stefonowicz added a career-high 17 points, five assists and three steals for the Bison.
Several other Bison stuffed the stat sheet. Noah Feddersen finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and six blocks. Trevian Carson had 11 rebounds, eight points and six steals. Sophomore Treyson Anderson pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds.
NDSU (1-2 overall) racked up 18 offensive rebounds and has now posted double-digit offensive boards in all three games this season. The Bison posted 25 second-chance points and 25 points off turnovers in the contest.
Leading 39-38 just over two minutes into the second half, the Bison rattled off an 18-6 run to take control. NDSU led 57-44 with 11 minutes remaining.
Feddersen's six blocks tied for the second-most in a game in NDSU history – most recently achieved by Dexter Werner in 2015.
The Bison play again on Wednesday night, hosting St. Scholastica at 7 p.m.
