Bison Basketball Takes On Southern Illinois Monday, Jamestown Wednesday

The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (2-2) will host two games next week, playing Southern Illinois on Monday and Jamestown on Wednesday.
        Monday, Nov. 17           vs. Southern Illinois     7 p.m. CT
        Wednesday, Nov. 19     vs. Jamestown            7 p.m. CT
 
Where to Watch: Both games will be broadcast locally on WDAY Xtra and streamed on the Summit League Network.
 
Radio: Sam Neidermann and Dexter Werner will call the games on 107.9 The Fox and Bison 1660. Broadcasts can also be streamed on the NDSU Athletics app, as well as at GoBison.com/AllAccess for free.
 
Against SIU: Monday's game will be the seventh meeting all-time between the Bison and the Salukis, with Southern Illinois holding a 5-1 lead in the series. SIU beat NDSU each of the last two seasons in Carbondale.
 
Against Jamestown: Wednesday will be the 44th meeting all-time between the Bison and Jimmies, with NDSU leading the series, 33-10. NDSU posted a 96-59 victory over Jamestown in the season opener on Nov. 4 last season.
 
On the Glass: The Bison have posted double-digit offensive rebounds in all three games against Division I opponents this season. NDSU is averaging 13.8 offensive boards per game.
 
Rise in Theft: The Bison have registered 40 steals already this season through four games. NDSU finished last season with 117 total steals in 32 games.
 
Block Bonanza: Noah Feddersen has recorded 11 blocks in the last two games – six against CSUN and five against St. Scholastica. His six blocks vs. CSUN tied for the second-most in a game in NDSU history – most recently achieved by Dexter Werner in 2015.
 
Second Half Scoring: The Bison scored at least 60 second-half points in each of the first two games of this four-game homestand. NDSU outscored CSUN 60-35 in the second half on Nov. 11 before scoring 61 in the second half against St. Scholastica the next night.
 
First Impressions: Markhi Strickland scored 17 points in both games of NDSU's season-opening West Coast road trip, shooting 61 percent overall. Trevian Carson averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds on the trip, including an impressive 4 offensive rebounds per game.
 
Preseason Accolades: NDSU's Noah Feddersen and Markhi Strickland were voted to the preseason All-Summit League second team. Feddersen started all 32 games for the Bison last season, averaging 8.3 points and 6.0 rebounds with 52-percent shooting. Strickland is a senior transfer from Western Michigan, where he started every game for the Broncos last year, led the team in minutes, and averaged 11.3 points per game.
 
Picked Fourth: NDSU was picked to finish fourth in The Summit League this season, according to the annual preseason poll of league head coaches, sports information directors and media.
 
Tradition of Success: The Bison have played in 9 of the past 13 Summit League Tournament championship games, dating back to 2013.
 
Head Man: Head coach David Richman has accumulated 213 wins in 11-plus seasons at NDSU, ranking him second in school history. He has led the Bison to seven Summit League Tournament championship games, posting a record of 18-8 in the conference tournament.
