NDSU Volleyball Earns Three All-Summit League Selections

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State volleyball team earned three All-Summit League selections, the league office announced on Saturday morning.

Junior outside hitter Lauren Jansen was named to the All-League First Team, while junior middle blocker Arianna Blohm was tabbed to the All-League Second Team. Freshman defensive specialist Rya Borer was also selected to the Summit League All-Freshman Team.

Jansen earned first team honors for the first time in her career and totaled a career-best 300 kills this season, including 185 in Summit League play. Her 185 total kills ranked sixth in league play. The Plainfield, Ill., native was slotted seventh in Summit League play in kills per set with 3.14 and logged eight matches in double figures. Jansen produced 130 digs and averaged 2.20 per set on the defensive end.

Blohm was selected to the second team for the first time in her career after posting a team-high 55 total blocks in league play. The Spring Valley, Minn., native averaged 0.93 blocks per set, which ranked seventh in Summit League play. Blohm was also positioned seventh in league play with a team-best .327 hitting percentage to go along with 123 kills on the offensive side of the floor.

Borer was tabbed to the All-Freshman Team after posting a team-high 363 digs, including 226 in Summit League play. That total was the second-most among freshmen in league play and ranked third overall. Borer reached double digits in digs in 13-of-16 Summit League matches.
