FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State softball program and head coach
Darren Mueller have announced the addition of Chloe Champas to the 2026 recruiting class on Thursday.
Champas, an incoming freshman outfielder, will come to Fargo next fall from Loomis, California. In June, Champas helped lead Del Oro High School to the 2025 CIF NorCal Regional Division 1 Championship, earning All-League, All-Metro, All-Section and All-Northern California first-team accolades.
During the 2025 season, Champas hit .492 with 58 hits, 43 runs and 31 RBI. She also had four doubles, two triples and a home run and added 35 stolen bases.
A three-sport athlete, Champas also led her team to the CIF Division I Flag Football Championship in 2024 and has been a three-time most valuable player for the golf program.
Champas intends to major in Exercise Science at North Dakota State.
