FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State Softball team and head coach
Darren Mueller announced the schedule for the 2026 season Tuesday afternoon. The schedule features five invitational events, a non-conference series at Alabama and Cal Baptist, and an 18-game Summit League schedule.
The 50-game schedule includes nine home dates in April and May, along with trips to Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina and Nevada for invitationals. NDSU will play a three-game non-conference series at Cal Baptist in mid-March and a two-game series in late March at Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The Bison are also slated for at least seven games against NCAA Tournament teams from 2025.
NDSU will open up the season with 11 games in Florida over two weekends at the River City Leadoff in Jacksonville and the Hatter Classic in DeLand. The Bison will then make a third trip in four seasons to the Gopher Indoor Classic before heading back east to North Carolina for Spring in The Springs hosted by Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs.
The Bison then wrap up the final two weeks before Summit League play with a trip to Las Vegas for the UNLV Red & Black Classic, before heading to Southern California for games at Long Beach State and UC Riverside and the series with Cal Baptist.
Summit League play for NDSU will begin at the defending Summit League Champions, as the Bison take on Omaha on March 20-22. NDSU will then travel to Alabama for the final non-conference games of the season March 27-28. The Bison are set to host St. Thomas Easter Weekend, April 2-4. NDSU will also have a home series against Kansas City and close out the regular season at home against South Dakota State.
The 2025 Summit League Softball Championships is set to take place the following week, May 6-9, at St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
