
NDSU Softball’s Delatorre Named to Academic All-Summit League Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State softball's Jessica Delatorre was named to the 2026 Summit League Softball Academic All-League Team, announced the league office Tuesday.
The sophomore picks up the honor in her first season eligible for the award after being named to the All-Summit League First Team this season and posting a 3.92 GPA in Nursing.
Delatorre picked up all-league honors this season after she hit .422 with 19 hits, including six home runs, in 15 league games. She also had five walks, posting a .472 obp and a team-best 1.294 ops. Delatorre was also a strong arm behind the plate, with 10 caught stealing over the course of the season and three in league play. Opponents were just 50 percent, 3-for-6, in stolen base attempts on Delatorre in league action, the best percentage in the league.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions, except pitchers who must have participated in 20 percent of their team's total contests.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's participating members, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and FARs. The teams are made up of ten student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
