NDSU Softball Adds Serayah Neiss to Coaching Staff

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State softball has announced the addition of Serayah Neiss to the coaching staff, with Neiss joining as a graduate assistant coach, working specifically with the pitching staff.
The Newberg, Oregon native wrapped up her collegiate career in the spring of 2026 at the University of Iowa, making 19 starts, earning 12 wins and posting a team-best 4.42 era and 75 strikeouts.
Prior to her time in Iowa, Neiss was the 2025 Mountain West Pitcher of the Year and two-time All-Mountain West selection at Fresno State, earning 40 wins in three seasons. In 2025, Neiss was 20-6 with a 2.03 era, while going 10-0 with a 1.99 era in Mountain West play. In her career, Neiss secured 52 wins and recorded 396 strikeouts.
Neiss is currently pursuing a Master's Degree from North Dakota State University on Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Iowa in Interdisciplinary Studies in Applied Human Services.
