GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota State softball fell to North Dakota in the series finale on Sunday, falling to the Fighting Hawks 2-0 after being no hit at Albrecht Field.

NDSU would have six walks in the game and also reached on multiple errors. The Bison would get runners into scoring position in the first and second, including a runner to third with one out in the first, but were unable to get a run across. NDSU would then get another runner to third with one out in the fourth, but failed to score again.

North Dakota then capitalized with a pair of RBI singles in the bottom of the fourth to go up 2-0. NDSU would then get runners to second in the fifth and sixth and also stranded a batter in the seventh, finishing with six left on base in the game.

Jocelyn McClary picked up the loss, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts. Amai Hanta had two walks and a stolen base. Lileigh Nieto also had a stolen base.

North Dakota State will return home to Fargo and gets set to wrap up the regular season at Tharaldson Park against South Dakota State. The series with the Jackrabbits will begin Thursday, April 30, with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
