FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – The North Dakota State men's cross country team took eighth place at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Friday morning.

The Bison men finished with a score of 233 points. Nationally ranked Cal Baptist won the team title, and Wyoming took second.

Junior
Will Gerber paced the NDSU men, finishing 36th overall in 26:20.7 for the eight-kilometer course. It was the first time in Gerber's career that he was the No. 1 finisher for the Bison in a cross country meet.

Ethan Moe placed 51st in 26:49.5, sophomore
Carl Rekow was 54th in 26:56.3, and junior
Evan Liewer took 73rd with a time of 27:36.2.

Quinn Roehl completed the team scoring for NDSU, running 27:40.6 to place 75th.

The Bison will race next at the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., on Oct. 3.
