Fast Start Propels NDSU Women’s Basketball Past Oral Roberts, 93-72

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's basketball team started off with a 25-10 lead after the first quarter and didn't look back in the 93-72 win over Oral Roberts on Saturday afternoon inside the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
With the win, the Bison (20-2, 9-0 Summit) extended their win streak to 18 games, which is the second-longest active win streak in the country behind UConn (38). NDSU also reached the 20-win mark for the third straight season. Oral Roberts drops to 12-10 (5-4 Summit) with the loss.
Avery Koenen set the pace with a game-high 25 points and tied a season-best 11 field goals on 14 attempts. She also grabbed a game-best 13 rebounds with four assists for her 16th double-double of the season.
Marisa Frost added 16 points on 3-of-4 shooting from three, while Molly Lenz netted 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Jocelyn Schiller rounded out the top performers with 12 points and a game-high five assists.
As a team, the Bison shot 56.5 percent (35-62) from the field and 52.9 percent (9-17) from three. NDSU also scored 36 points in the paint and the bench added in 17 points.
NDSU will be back in action at Kansas City on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
