NDSU Travels to SDSU, Hosts Kansas City this Week

The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (21-6, 11-1 Summit) will play at South Dakota State on Wednesday before hosting Kansas City on Saturday this week.
          Wednesday, Feb. 18     at South Dakota State    7 p.m. CT
          Saturday, Feb. 21          vs. Kansas City              1 p.m. CT
 
Where to Watch: Both games will be streamed on the Summit League Network via the Midco Sports Plus app. Saturday's game vs. Kansas City will also air locally on WDAY Xtra.
 
Radio: Sam Neidermann will call the games on 107.9 The Fox. Broadcasts can also be streamed on the NDSU Athletics app, as well as at GoBison.com/AllAccess for free.
 
Against South Dakota State: Wednesday will be the 240th meeting all-time between North Dakota State and South Dakota State, with the Bison leading the series 124-115. NDSU won 76-65 in Fargo on Jan. 14, and the Bison have won in Brookings the past two seasons.
 
Against Kansas City: Saturday will be the 28th meeting all-time between NDSU and Kansas City. The Bison hold a 19-8 lead in the series after sweeping the Roos last season and winning 97-73 in Kansas City on Jan. 8 this year.
 
History: NDSU's 11-1 record in league play matches its best 12-game start in the Summit League era. The Bison also started 11-1 in the 2008-09 season, ultimately getting to 13-1 before suffering a second league loss.
 
Road Dubs: NDSU owns nine road wins this season, which is tied for the fourth-most in the nation. Only Belmont (11-2), Miami-Ohio (10-0), and Stephen F. Austin (10-3) have more.
            The school record for road wins in a season is 10 -- achieved in 2008-09 and 2013-14.
 
Four-Headed Monster: NDSU's top three scorers are all within one point per game of each other -- Damari Wheeler-Thomas (13.6 ppg), Markhi Strickland (13.4 ppg), and Trevian Carson (12.9 ppg). In league play, Treyson Anderson leads the Bison with 13.3 ppg.
 
Balanced Bison: Entering this week, NDSU does not have any players ranked among the league's top 15 in scoring.
 
Top of the Box Score: Andy Stefonowicz led the Bison with 20 points in the 83-66 win at North Dakota on Feb. 14. It was the first time in his career leading NDSU in scoring for a game.
 
Feddy Stays Ready: Noah Feddersen has scored in double figures in six straight games off the bench. He leads NDSU in scoring over that stretch, and is shooting 64 percent in league play.
 
Nationally Ranked: Markhi Strickland is ranked 20th in the nation for field goal percentage (61.5%). Trevian Carson is 31st in the country in steals per game (2.11).
 
Sharpshooter: Tay Smith is shooting 48.5 percent from three-point range (33-of-68) in league play.
 
Significant Margin: NDSU is No. 28 in the NCAA for turnover margin at +3.3 per game.
 
On Point: Andy Stefonowicz is averaging 4.8 assists per game in league play with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.41. Over the past five games, he is averaging 7.0 assists per game.
 
Defend Without Fouling: The Bison are 18th in Division I for fewest fouls committed per game, with an average of 14.8.
 
On the Glass: NDSU is averaging 11.9 offensive rebounds per game -- the most by the Bison since the 2006-07 season.
 
Rise in Theft: NDSU ranks 36th nationally for steals per game this year after ranking 352nd last season. The Bison surpassed last season's steals total in just 13 games this year.
 
Good Company: Trevian Carson is on track to join Grant Nelson (2022-23), Tyson Ward (2018-19), and Dexter Werner (2016-17) as the only Bison in the past decade to lead the team in rebounds and steals.
