NDSU Women’s Basketball Ranked No. 1 in College Insider Mid-Major Poll

BOSTON – The North Dakota State women's basketball team moved into the top spot at No. 1 in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll this week, the organization announced on Tuesday night.

The Bison (20-2, 9-0 Summit) jumped one spot to No. 1 for the first time in program history after collecting 22 first-place votes. Princeton dropped to No. 2 and garnered nine first-place votes, while Green Bay closed out the top three in third. NDSU has been slotted in the poll each of the last nine weeks after entering at No. 23 in December.

NDSU is one of three Summit League schools in the poll this week, joining South Dakota State (No. 10) and South Dakota (No. 24).

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Coastal Athletic, Conference USA, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast, Western Athletic.

NDSU, who has won each of its last 18 games, will be back in action at Kansas City on Thursday night. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
