KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Marisa Frost netted a career-high 29 points to help push the North Dakota State women's basketball team past Kansas City, 74-49, on Thursday night at the Swinney Center.

With the win, the Bison improve to 21-2 (10-0 Summit) on the season, including a 9-0 mark on the road. NDSU also extended its win streak to 19 straight games, which is the second-longest active win streak in the country behind UConn (40). Kansas City drops to 7-16 (4-6 Summit) with the loss.

Frost posted a game-high and career-best 29 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. The Lino Lakes, Minn., native tallied 21 points and drained all five of her triples in the first half. Molly Lenz added in 10 points, while Avery Koenen grabbed a game-best 15 rebounds with seven points.

As a team, the Bison shot 47.9 percent (23-48) from the field and 80.8 percent (21-26) from the free throw line. NDSU scored 30 points in the paint and 22 points off turnovers.

After trading points into the second quarter that saw neither team lead by more than five, Frost sparked the Bison with back-to-back triples to push the edge to 25-20 with 6:17 to go in the half. She then went on to connect on two more triples and a pair of free throws to increase the lead to nine, 33-24, at the 3:08 mark. The Bison led the half, 41-24.

NDSU then started the second half with nine unanswered points capped off by a putback layup from Karrington Asp to stretch the advantage to 50-24 with 5:47 to play in the third quarter. The Bison didn't look back from there and led by double digits the rest of way to close out the 74-49 road win.

NDSU will be back in action at Omaha on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
