
Four Bison Men Claim Summit League Honors; Richman Named Coach of the Year

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League announced its awards for the 2025-26 men's basketball season on Tuesday, and the regular season champion North Dakota State Bison were well-represented.
Trevian Carson was named to the All-Summit League first team, the All-Newcomer Team, and the All-Defensive Team. Damari Wheeler-Thomas was selected to the All-Summit League second team, and Andy Stefonowicz earned honorable mention status.
Noah Feddersen was voted the league's Sixth Man of the Year, and head coach David Richman was selected Coach of the Year.
This is Richman's second Summit League Coach of the Year honor, which he also captured in 2014-15 as a first-year head coach.
Feddersen joins Mike Felt (2013), Dexter Werner (2015, 2017), Grant Nelson (2021), and Tajavis Miller (2025) as Bison winners of the Summit League Sixth Man of the Year. Feddersen shot 65 percent in league play and 44 percent from three-point range, averaging 10.9 points off the bench.
Carson led the Summit League champion Bison in minutes during league play, shooting 49 percent overall, 40 percent from three-point range, and 96 percent at the free throw line. He averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals.
Wheeler-Thomas led NDSU with 13.4 points and averaged 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in league.
Stefonowicz averaged 9.3 points, 5.1 assists and 1.7 steals in league play, shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc. He led the league in assists, recording a pair of double-doubles with points and assists.
The regular season champion and No. 1 seed Bison will play either No. 8 seed Oral Roberts or No. 9 Kansas City in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Tournament on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Sioux Falls.
