MANHEIM, Penn. – North Dakota State wrestling had seven student-athletes named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-America Team for the 2025-26 season, announced the organization on Wednesday.
NCAA Championship qualifiers
Gavin Drexler,
Max Petersen and
Devin Wasley were named to the list, alongside
Tristan Daugherty,
Boeden Greenley,
Shilo Jones and
Michael Olson.
Petersen is a three-time recipient of the award, while Daugherty, Drexler, Greenley and Jones earn the honor for a second time at NDSU.
To earn Scholar All-American honors, student-athletes must excel both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following criteria:
Earn NCAA All-American honors and hold a 3.00 GPA,
Be an NCAA National Qualifier and hold a 3.2 GPA,
Be a conference qualifier and hold a 3.5 GPA,
Or hold at least a 60 percent win record (min. 15 matches) and hold a 3.5 GPA.
The seven recipients by NDSU ties the program record for NWCA Scholar All-American honors, matching last year's mark, which topped six in 2021-22. NDSU now has 57 NWCA Scholar All-Americans honors since joining Division I in 2004-05.
