FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State men's golf team will head to Kentucky this week for the Racer Intercollegiate. Hosted by Murray State, the event will be held at the Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky, on April 6-7.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The Racer Intercollegiate will be a 54-hole tournament held over the span of two days. The competition will begin with the first two rounds taking place on Monday, and the final 18-hole round finishing on Tuesday.

THE TOURNAMENT FIELD
Hosted by the Murray State Racers, the Racer Intercollegiate will have 15 teams in the competition. In addition to the Bison, the field will include SIUE, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, Dayton, Tennessee-Martin, Morehead State, Tennessee Chattanooga, Austin Peay, Bradley, Lindenwood, Southern Indiana, Eastern Illinois, and Southern Illinois. There will be 92 golfers in the field.
THE COURSE
Opening in 1984, the course at the Country Club of Paducah was designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The course features many of his signature designs, including greens with a subtle contour, numerous pin positions, and a preservation of the natural landscape. At the Country Club of Paducah, the par-72 course spans a yardage of 7,014 from the back tees and features wide zoysia fairways with 39 bunkers and 6 lakes throughout the course. In addition to hosting collegiate events, the Country Club of Paducah also regularly hosts many amateur level events, such as the USGA Amateur Qualifier and numerous KPGA tournaments.
BISON AT THE RACER INTERCOLLEGIATE
This will be the first appearance for the Bison at the inaugural Racer Intercollegiate.

NDSU finished 14th in their debut at the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate in late March. Senior
Rylin Petry was the highest placing Bison for the event, finishing in a tie for 29th at +1 overall.
BISON COMPETING
NDSU will send six golfers down to the 5-score-4 tournament. The Bison lineup will include

Joey Mackinac, who will be competing as an individual.
BISON NOTES
- Freshman
Joey Mackinac will enter the Bison lineup for the first time since the pair of duals against UND. Mackinac recorded a 36-hole score of 153 at the event and will make his 54-hole tournament debut at the Racer Intercollegiate.
- Senior
Jake Skarperud currently leads the Bison with the lowest 54- hole score of the season of 209 (-4), along with most rounds at par or better with 13 through 26 rounds.
- Senior
Rylin Petry has finished as the top-Bison in the last two events, finishing inside the top 30 in both. Petry currently sits with the lowest season scoring average of 72.15 through 26 rounds.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the Racer Intercollegiate, the NDSU men's golf team will head to their penultimate tournament for the 2025-26 season. The Bison will return to the Hawkeye Invitational, which will be hosted by Iowa at the Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside, Iowa on April 20-21.
