AZUSA, Calif. – Sophomore
Yolanda Nabwe led the North Dakota State University women competing in the heptathlon on the first day of the Bryan Clay Multis on Thursday.

Nabwe (Jamestown, N.D.) recorded 3,051 points through the first four events of the heptathlon. Sophomore
Rylee Johnson (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) scored 2,954 points to stand as the No. 2 Bison after the opening day.

Sophia Truscott has 2,844 points through four events, and sophomore
Paige Halder is close behind at 2,843 points.

Nabwe clocked 14.53 in the 100m hurdles, cleared 5-03.75 (1.62m) in the high jump, threw 36-06.25 (11.13m) in the shot put, and wrapped the day by running 26.16 in the 200m dash.

Johnson posted a time of 14.08 in the 100m hurdles to lead the four Bison in that event.

Heptathlon competition will conclude on Friday at Azusa Pacific University.
