FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach Jory Collins has announced the addition of Liza Trenbeath to the 2026 signing class.
Trenbeath was named to both the All-State First Team and NDAPSSA First Team in her senior season at Kindred High School. The Kindred, North Dakota native averaged 28.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and guided the Vikings to a region one championship and a fourth-place finish in the state tournament this season. She also participated in track and field and posted a third-place finish in the javelin at the state meet last year.
"It's always great when you can add local talent," said Collins. "Liza has been a great multisport athlete at Kindred. Now that she gets a chance to focus on basketball, I'm excited to see where her athleticism takes her. She will fit in great from a culture standpoint, we're excited for her to be a Bison!"
Trenbeath will be the fourth North Dakotan on the roster, joining Miriley Simon (West Fargo), Jocelyn Schiller (Grand Forks) and McKenna Johnson (Mandan).
With the addition of Trenbeath, the 2026 signing class now includes Georgia Ell and Madelyn Muniz, who signed earlier this spring.
NDSU posted its third straight 20-win season with a 29-5 overall record this season. The Bison won their first Summit League regular season title in program history and played in a postseason tournament for the fourth straight season after making their debut as a top seed in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT).
