Bison Men’s Basketball Claims NABC Academic Excellence Award, Plus Three Individuals Honored

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The North Dakota State University men's basketball team has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The academic award program recognizes teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2025-26 season. NDSU's men's basketball roster combined for a cumulative 3.36 team GPA.
In addition, NDSU also had three men's basketball players named to the NABC Honors Court announced on Wednesday. Tay Smith, Noah Feddersen and Emil Skytta earned the academic recognition for the Bison.
Student-athletes must have junior, senior, or graduate student academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify for the NABC Honors Court.
NDSU swept the 2026 Summit League regular season and tournament championships and earned its sixth NCAA Tournament berth since 2009.
