NDSU Men’s Basketball to Play in 2026 Snake River Invitational

The North Dakota State men's basketball team will play in the four-team Snake River Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Nov. 27-29 this season.
The event will feature NDSU, Boise State, Drake and North Texas at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls.
Game times are TBD and will be announced following final broadcast selections.
"We're pleased to be a part of this event and looking forward to our time in Idaho Falls this November," said NDSU head coach David Richman. "The Mountain America Center has done a great job bringing this strong group of programs together for a high quality, early-season showcase. We are excited to compete against great programs for three days in Idaho Falls."
NDSU swept the 2026 Summit League regular season and tournament championships and earned its sixth NCAA Tournament berth since 2009. The Bison return one starter in point guard Andy Stefonowicz this season, and NDSU added 13 newcomers – seven transfers, five freshmen, and one international player. Coming off a school record 27 wins in the 2025-26 season, the Bison now have six 20-win seasons in head coach David Richman's tenure.

The inaugural Snake River Invitational brings together four NCAA Division I programs — Boise State, Drake, North Texas and North Dakota State — for a three-day event featuring six individual matchups, two games a day, giving fans the opportunity to see all four teams compete against each other.
Representing the Pac-12 Conference, Missouri Valley Conference, American Conference and Summit League, the four participating programs bring a combined résumé of 28 NCAA Tournament appearances, multiple conference championships and postseason success in both the NCAA Tournament and NIT.

Each daily ticket includes admission to BOTH Snake River Invitational games that day — giving fans two NCAA Division I matchups with just one ticket purchase.
