Jason Kemp is in his sixth season as assistant men's basketball coach at North Dakota State.
Kemp, 31, previously was a graduate manager for two seasons at North Dakota State. He also was an assistant coach for one season at Minnesota State Moorhead.
A native of Madison, Wis., Kemp was a four-year letterwinner in basketball at Wisconsin-La Crosse. He played for former MSU Moorhead coach Stu Engen (2000-02) and was captain his senior year for coach Ken Koelbl (2003-04) before joining Engen's staff at MSU Moorhead.
Kemp earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2004 and completed a master's degree in sport and recreation management at North Dakota State in December 2006.
He and his wife, Michelyn, were married in August.
