AJ Lattery joined the North Dakota State baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach in September 2026.
Lattery comes to NDSU after spending the 2026 season as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at UW-River Falls and helped the Falcons to their first conference tournament appearance since the program was reinstated in 2023.
Prior to UW-River Falls, Lattery was an assistant coach at Eastern Oregon from 2024-25 and led the pitching staff. The Savage, Minn., native also coached youth baseball with the Minnesota MASH program and worked as an instructor at Oregon State baseball camps.
Lattery played at Oregon State from 2020-24 and helped the Beavers to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including two super regional appearances in 2022 and 2024. He appeared in 42 games with 17 starts and registered a 3.13 ERA. Lattery tossed 90 strikeouts over 89.0 innings.
Lattery earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oregon State in 2023 along with a graduate certificate in leading and creating change in 2024. He also completed an internship with DAM Analytic Squad from 2023-24, where he collaborated with analytics teams to enhance pitching development through advanced scouting and the use of technology such as Trackman, Rapsodo, and Edgertronic systems.
