Ben Hicks joined the North Dakota State University athletic department in October 2023. Hicks oversees the marketing and fan engagement efforts for women's basketball, baseball, men's and women's golf, campus and community events, and the mascot program.

Originally from Victoria, Minn., Hicks played five years of college golf at South Dakota, where he finished top 10 in program history for career scoring average. He also gained experience as an undergraduate student intern for marketing.

Hicks completed two degrees in sport management at South Dakota, earning his bachelor's degree in 2022 and a master's degree in 2023.

He resides in Fargo and has one sister, Madi Hicks, who is a member of the NDSU women's golf team.
