Cam Bastian joined the North Dakota State University athletic department in September 2023. He oversees the marketing and fan engagement efforts for the department and works primarily with the Bison football program to drive ticket sales and attendance while creating one of the best game day atmospheres in college football.
Bastian came to NDSU after spending two years as the director of marketing and fan experience at Oregon, where he was the primary marketing contact for women's basketball, softball and track and field. He coordinated all aspects of game day production, in-game entertainment, promotions and operations for those sports.
Prior to Oregon, Bastian spent three years as the assistant director of marketing at Georgia Southern, where he oversaw the marketing and promotions for women's basketball, baseball and the Junior Eagle Kids Club.
Bastian spent two years as the graduate assistant for marketing and promotions at Western Illinois, where he oversaw the marketing efforts for 19 sports with emphasis on football and men's and women's basketball.
Bastian graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in marketing, and he earned a master's degree in sport management from Western Illinois in 2019.
He and his wife, Kenzie, reside in Fargo with their son, Dallas, and two dogs, Millie and Jax.
