Border States congratulates Jared Franek, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.

Franek, a redshirt freshman sport management major from Harwood, N.D., won a hard-fought 3-1 decision against No.16-ranked Justin Thomas of Oklahoma, helping lead NDSU to a 24-15 win. With the win in his bout, Franek's record sits at 17-6 in the 157-pound weight class.
