Border States congratulates Tyson Ward, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Ward is a senior men's basketball player from Tampa, Fla., majoring in finance. He was named Mid-Major National Player of the Week by CollegeInsider.com and Summit League Player of the Week after helping the Bison clinch the league championship with wins over South Dakota State and Omaha.
Ward put up 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists in NDSU’s overtime win over South Dakota State on Feb. 27, hitting the go-ahead bucket with 20 seconds left in overtime. Two days later, he scored a career-high 29 points in a Senior Day victory vs. Omaha.
