Border States congratulates Connor Wendel, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Wendel, a redshirt freshman from Carrington, N.D., is the Summit League leader in the 400m hurdles this season after running a personal-best 54.03 at Long Beach Saturday. Two years removed from high school graduation, Wendel placed 4th in the 300m hurdles and 7th in the 110m hurdles at the North Dakota Class B state meet as a senior in 2016. He has a 3.612 GPA in agricultural business.
